What is the GRI?
The GRI is a nationally accredited designation that offers state-specific content to REALTORS® looking to lay a strong foundation in their understanding of the industry.
How do I earn the designation?
In Texas, there are three 30-hour courses as qualifying education credit. You must pass the test at the end of each course to receive credit at TREC as well as to earn the designation.
What are the fees to earn/maintain the designation?
Aside from payment to attend each course, REALTORS® are only required to maintain their membership to keep the designation. There are no additional fees.
Do I have to take the classes in a certain order?
No, each GRI class is independent of the others, so you can take the courses in any order.
I see a course scheduled through another association where I’m not a member. Can I attend that course?
Yes, you can attend any GRI course through any local REALTOR® association (fees may vary).
