Texas had the second-highest net migration of millennials in a study of U.S. Census Bureau data by SmartAsset, and Dallas was the top destination of all cities reviewed.

Texas saw nearly 200,000 millennials move to the state, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2017 1-year American Community Survey. Taking into account the number of millennials who moved out-of-state the same year leaves a net migration total of 24,734—second only to Washington.

The Dallas net migration increase of 10,371 millennials residents was the highest of 173 cities included in the study. It also had the third-highest total in-migration at 43,159.  Abilene, Fort Worth, Lubbock, and Austin were also in the top 25 cities for net migration of millennials.
