Sign welcoming visitors to Lubbock: Welcome to Lubbock. All that's good in agriculture
An initiative to create new welcome signs for visitors to Lubbock is also yielding positive returns for the Lubbock Association of REALTORS® after the organization volunteered to fund the project. Five sign designs highlighting Lubbock’s core industries will be situated along seven highway entry points to the city. Resulting news coverage of the project has featured the role of Lubbock REALTORS® in making it happen, generating immediate goodwill in addition to the long-term branding benefits.

“The Lubbock Association of REALTORS® continues to benefit from excellent free press as a result of providing funds for the sign materials,” said Jef Conn, 2017 President of the Lubbock Association of REALTORS®. “Visitors also see our logo on every sign, which helps build awareness.”

The need for markers at major entrances to the city arose as part of a community planning effort. The signs, which contribute to the image of Lubbock, were a natural fit for local REALTORS®. In volunteering to raise funds for the signs, the Lubbock Association of REALTORS® was able to add benefit to its members and contribute to sought-after city beautification project.

“The community benefits from the creation of distinct markers that will help define Lubbock,” Conn said. “And no public funds were used for the signs, allowing the Lubbock community and its visitors to benefit at no cost. This private/public collaboration will serve the Lubbock Association of REALTORS® and the community for years to come.”
