The Texas Home Price Index (THPI) analyzes repeat sales—the change in sales price from multiple sales of the same house—using an improved and expanded sales database that’s updated quarterly.

When examining the price growth of existing housing stock, this type of analysis has a number of advantages over other statistics, 比如中位数价格, which can be influenced by changes in the mix of property types being sold.
